Ric Flair Signs Multi-Year Contract With AEW

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair has officially signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling a week after his surprise appearance on AEW Dynamite. Flair’s appearance was presented as a gift to Sting, who will retire after his final match at AEW Revolution in 2024. Flair announced he intends to be at Sting’s side until his retirement.

Flair’s signing was made public via an AEW press release, which also includes that Flair’s energy drink brand “Wooooo! Energy” will become a sponsor as the official energy drink of All Elite Wrestling.

Flair competed in what was advertised as his final match in July of 2022, a tag team match where alongside Andrade El Idolo, Flair defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. Prior to this match, Flair’s now second to last match was in 2011 in the main event of an episode of TNA Impact Wrestling against Sting, who was victorious against “The Nature Boy”.
