Latest On Big E Neck Injury

it has been a year since Big E suffered a career threatening neck injury off of a botched belly-to-belly suplex on an episode of Smackdown. Now the former WWE Champion is set to undergo more scans that will help to determine if he is able to return to in-ring action.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Big E noted that he cannot rush to conclusions and is optimistic about the future regardless of whether he is able to compete or not:

I just want to make the best decision. I gotta see what the scans say, talk to doctors, and then go from there.
Right now, before I know anything, I’m not gonna make any rush to judgments or anything. See how everything looks.

Big E continues:

Everything isn’t permanent. If it comes to an end, cool. If it doesn’t, cool. What will be, will be. I’m good with whatever.

Big E last appeared on television during an episode of Smackdown on March 11th 2022. He featured in a tag team bout, teaming with fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston, against Sheamus and Ridge Holland. It was Holland who, while attempting a belly-to-belly suplex at ringside, under-rotated and dropped Big E on his head, breaking his neck and fracturing his C1 and C6 cervical vertebrae.
