Vale Butch Miller
The World of Professional Wrestling lost another brother yesterday, this time, one closer to home. Butch Miller, known for his time in the WWF as part of The Bushwhackers alongside Luke Williams, and in the NWA as The Sheepherders, also with Williams, passed away in Los Angeles on April 2nd 2023. Miller had travelled from his home in New Zealand to Los Angeles for WrestleMania festivities, where he fell ill and was hospitalised.
Miller had begun wrestling in the early 1960’s in his native New Zealand. In the coming decades, alongside his lifelong tag team partner Williams, they would travel across Asia, Oceania and the Americas. Including Stampede Wrestling, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and eventually the World Wrestling Federation.
A GoFundMe has been set up for donations to go towards Mr. Miller’s funeral expenses and can be found here: https://gofund.me/11d55c60
The staff of Pro Wrestling Downunder send their condolences to the friends and relatives of Mr. Miller during these sad times.
