Australian Rhea Ripley Wins Royal Rumble
Australian Rhea Ripley has been declared as this year’s 30-Woman Royal Rumble match winner as she beat 29 other WWE stars to earn a championship match of her choosing at WrestleMania 39 in April.
Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan started things off. Dana Brooke was the third entrant followed by Emma. Shayna Baszler was #5 and Bayley was #6. B-Fab came out next only to be eliminated by Ripley. NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez entered next followed by Dakota Kai. IYO SKY came out next as Brooke was tossed out right before Emma. Damage Control eliminated Perez. Natalya entered the ring next. Candice LeRae was #12. NXT star Zoey Starks came out next before Xia Li. Lee was eliminated by Damage CTRL before Becky Lynch entered the bout only to be thrown over the announce table by Damage CTRL. Tegan Nox entered at #16 then Asuka. Doudrop is no longer as Piper Niven made her return at #18. #19 was Tamina. Chelsea Green was #20 and eliminated right away by Ripley. There were several eliminations at rapid pace – Kai and SKY were eliminated by Lynch. Bayley eliminated Lynch while Morgan eliminated Bayley. Zelina Vega was #21 where she eliminated Li. Raquel Rodriguez came out at #22 and tossed around several stars. Mia Yim entered at #23 who hit a nasty DDT to Ripley. Lacey Evans was next out. Michelle McCool entered after sitting in the front row for the whole show. Indi Hartwell was #26 and Sonya Deville at #27. Stark was eliminated by Deville. Shotzi came out at #28 after Evans eliminated Vega with a choke. Deville eliminated Hartwell before Nikki Cross came out at #29. Nia Jax was back at #30. Ripley hit her finisher to Jax then everyone joined in to eliminate Jax. Raquel eliminated Evans with a clothesline. Asuka hit a head kick to Evans for the elimination. McCool was tossed out by Ripley. Shotzi and Yim were gone next. Raquel with a big boot to Niven for the elimination. Ripley kicked Raquel out of the ring for the elimination. Morgan sent Morgan to the floor. Asuka was tossed to the floor by Ripley after Asuka spit mist in Morgan’s face and Ripley tossed Morgan to the floor.
