According to Bryan Alvarez on his SUPER FOLLOWERS Twitter account, the WWE has officially scrapped the the Day 1 pay-per-view.
In addition, Alvarez noted that there will likely be more international shows and much less gimmick PPV’s. This might mean that events such as Hell In A Cell and Extreme Rules would be re-branded.
WWE has received criticism for not saving the Cell match for feuds that may need it, rather than for using the match once a year on PPV. The same criticisms apply for Extreme Rules and TLC PPV’s.
