AAA & TNA Champions + AEW & Japanese Stars Scheduled For Starrcast Downunder.

Starrcast Downunder is just two weeks out and the lineup is getting stacked. With International champions and local fan favourites ready to put on a show, we’re going to go over the most recent batch of international talent set to make an appearance, including another WWE Hall of Famer and stars of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling:

Flammer: First up is the current AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, Flammer from Mexico. Flammer is set to defend her championship in Ballarat in a Triple Threat Match against Aussie Steph De Lander and one half of the TNA Women’s Tag Team Champions, Jody Threat at H.E.R. Flammer defeated Taya Valkyrie at AAA Triplemania XXXI in 2023 to win the belt and her first defence will be at Starrcast Downunder.

Bull Nakano: We’ve spent some time talking about Bull Nakano recently, as she will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Nakano is a legend in Joshi Wrestling and had some exposure in WWF and WCW in the 90’s. Nakano will be presenting the OPW Women’s Tag Team Championship belts to the inaugural champions to be crowned at the H.E.R. event.

Powerhouse Hobbs: All Elite Wrestling’s own Powerhouse Hobbs will also be touching down in Ballarat in April. A former AEW TNT Champion and member of the Don Callis Family, Hobbs was a prominent rising star in the AEW and continues to be a fan favourite.

Jody Threat: One half of the TNA Women’s Tag Team Champions Spitfire, alongside Dani Luna. “The Wild Child” Jody Threat will round out the match-up for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship Triple Threat Match alongside Steph De Lander and defending champion Flammer.

KUSHIDA: Since making his return to TNA Wrestling, KUSHIDA has been a prominent tag team and X-Division wrestler. The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight, Junior Heavyweight Tag Team and NXT Cruiserweight Champion accepted the challenge from the “Sniper Of The Skies” Robbie Eagles for a match at Australian Stampede, which is sure to be an eclectic piece of high flying mastery in the ring.

Josh Alexander: Finally, the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Josh Alexander will be in Ballarat challenging for that very belt at Australian Stampede. Alexander will go up against the man he beat to win the belt, and also the last man to defeat him for it, Moose.
