Top 25 Women Downunder 2023

Below is our annual PWdownunder.com ‘Downunder Top 25 Women’ list. The list is based on events and matches that took place in 2023 on Australian soil.

Criteria for consideration…

Activity (consistently appearing for one promotion or several promotions) quality/standard of opponents, quality/standard of promotions worked for, in-ring achievements (matches won, championships held etc), wrestling ability.

Wrestlers who competed in established tag teams throughout 2023 will not have their matches count towards a ranking. International wrestlers who performed in Australia do qualify for a ranking.

6. Caity Luxe (VIC – BCW, TCW, WrestleRock) BCW Women’s Champion for most of 2023

5. Cherry Stephens (NSW – PWA, IWA) Competed for the NWA Women’s TV title on Australian soil, continued reign as Soul of PWA champion, New Japan appearances, a stand out on the NSW scene in 2023.

4. Aysha (VIC – ROW, MCW, PCW) Started the year strong with a victory over Shazza McKenzie for the ROW Women’s title, appearances with NWA, World Series, GCW/ROW and Impact Downunder

3. Lena Kross (NSW – Newy Pro, NHPW, WSW, IWA, PWA) Competed in 4 states and the ACT, appearances on Impact Downunder and World Series wrestling, 8 months of 2023 as Newy pro Women’s Champion. 92 in PWI’s top 250 Women wrestlers.

2. Jessica Troy (NSW – PWA, WSW) Defeated Ricky South for the PWA title in October to end his 953 day reign, World series, NWA and NJPW appearances.

  1. Delta (SA – RCW, MCW, NHPW, PWA, FWA) Competed in 5 states during 2023, World Series, NJPW and NWA appearances, 219 in PWI’s top 250 women wrestlers, 2023 RCW Strength Cup winner, RCW Champion, RCW Women’s Champion, MCW Intercommonweatlh Champion, MCW Women’s Champion twice during 2023.
