A SKY-HIGH RETURN ON COLLISION

As many of you may be aware by now, a feature on Collision for the past couple of months has been the Max Caster open challenge where week after week he puts 5 minutes on the clock and leaves the door open for someone to see if they can survive 5 minutes with the best wrestler alive. Well, this week’s challenger was not stranger to the AEW audience but someone who had not been seen in over 600 days. That man was former TNT Champion, 1/3 of the unit known as SCU, one of the first ever AEW tag team champions, SCORPIO SKY.
AEW happily gave us an awesome video package showcasing Sky’s history in the company and highlighted the fact he has also been working with some of the younger talent while he has been away. It was great to see Scorpio back in the ring.

HANGMAN RAISES THE STAKES AND PROVES HE HAS WHAT IT TAKES!

Dynamite started out with an absolute pissed Hangman making his way into the arena to address the beatdown he received last week from The Young Bucks and The Death Riders. Hangman got straight to business and called the leader of TDR to the ring and said that he made a promise to free the AEW Championship from the briefcase and hold it high above his head at ALL IN.
Hangman upped the stakes by demanding a Texas Deathmatch for the championship which saw the leader of TDR make his way out to confront the Hangman. Moxley would go on to say that Hanger doesn’t have the guts to do what needs to be done to become the champion. Hangman would slap Moxley right across the face leading to a brawl between the two men before Yuta would make the save for Mox and Marina would slap the shit out of Hangman multiple times. This would lead to another beat down from Claudio and Yuta and Claudio hitting his Neutralizer finisher to leave Hangman laying.
That wouldn’t stop Hangman from getting back up and throwing shade at Claudio and telling him that he is still standing. Ultimately Claudio and Yuta facing off with The Opps. Shafir would attempt to take out Hangman with the briefcase only for Hanger to stop her and demand once again a Texas Deathmatch. Before Hangman would leave the ring, he showed Moxley that he would do anything that it takes and laid out Shafir with a Buckshot Lariat.

OSPREAY MAKES A BOLD OFFER

Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland are not the best of friends, but they sure as hell make one formidable tag team and at ALL IN we already knew they were going to face The Young Bucks. This week Ospreay sweetened the deal for The Young Bucks to put their EVP standing on the line. Ospreay would not only shock the fans but also Swerve Strickland by announcing that if the bucks win, both him and Swerve will not be allowed to challenge for the AEW World Championship for one year.
This hit a massive nerve with Swerve who was clearly blindsided by Ospreay’s announcement. The Bucks would capitalize on this and told Ospreay that the only way it would happen is if Swerve agreed. Ultimately Swerve would agree and at ALL IN it became EVP Status vs World Title Contendership.

ALL IN TNT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH CONFIRMED

Collision has been the major home for the TNT in the past couple of months with Adam Cole holding the belt proudly and doing his all to keep the gold around his waist. On Collision 100 Kyle Fletcher would confront Cole and lay claim to being the challenger for the TNT Championship only to be interrupted by Daniel Garcia who has also had his sights set on climbing the TNT mountain once again.
Cole would suggest a triple threat for the July 12th spectacular, but Fletcher didn’t want a bar of it, so it was made official that their match later on in the show would determine who is going to Globe Life Field and facing Bay Bay for the AEW TNT Championship.
The main event would see yet another showing of how AEW is investing in their up-and-coming talent and willing to give them the opportunity to showcase to the world why they should be a part of the conversation and why they are the future of the industry. Garcia would put up a valiant effort to try and regain his spot as the man to take the title away from Cole, only for it to become nothing as Fletcher would walk out with the win and the new number one contender for the TNT Championship.

GOLDEN LOVERS REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD

Anyone who has followed NJPW, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi knows their story and the trials and tribulations they have been through. On Dynamite we finally got to see the reuniting of Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi on Amercian soil. This was a moment that fans had been waiting for.

After a grueling match with Okada, Ibushi was on the receiving end of a beatdown from The Don Callis family where Omega would make the save with a steel chair and clear house before embracing his former tag team partner and celebrating.
