Queensland Promotions Seeking Growth In NSW?

On November 1, 2025, the C.ex Coffs Grand Auditorium will be the venue for a major professional wrestling event, with Pro Wrestling League (PWL) bringing its live show to New South Wales for the first time. Known for regular events across Queensland since its launch in 2018, PWL has built a solid following through shows at venues like Kedron-Wavell, Eatons Hill Hotel, and the Wynnum Fringe Festival.
Interestingly, PWL isn’t the only promotion shifting its focus to New South Wales. Nightfall Wrestling Alliance has also announced plans to run events in the state later this year, marking a notable change in direction for the two Queensland based wrestling companies.
The reason for the move south remains officially unconfirmed by either promotion, but there is growing speculation. Some suggest it’s part of a coordinated effort to grow the national profile of local wrestling by tapping into new markets. Others believe it could be a response to saturation in the Queensland scene, with NSW offering more venue flexibility, untapped regional audiences, and potentially more favourable commercial conditions for touring.
There’s also quiet talk of promotions trying to stake their claim in NSW before larger organisations — including possible overseas tours from international companies — start running more regular shows in the area.
The event, titled “Chaos in Coffs,” is expected to feature a roster of top-tier domestic talent. While no card has been confirmed, names currently being floated include Yeet Stevens, Mitch Ryder, and The Australian Sensation Craven, a respected veteran with international credentials. All three have been involved in PWL’s key storylines in recent months.
Further details for both promotions’ upcoming shows, including ticketing and line-ups, will be released in the coming weeks through their respective websites and social media channels.
Lets not forget NSW based Rock & Roll Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Australia held shows in Brisbane during the AEW Grand Slam event back in February.
