30 wrestlers enter the Rumble; Only 1 will be victorious at PWA’s KING OF THE METRO.

Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA) Black Label is set to wreak havoc on the streets of Sydney once again with the return of KING OF THE METRO. The stakes have never been higher, with the infamous 30-person Rumble set to deliver a night of shocks and thrills at the iconic Metro Theatre on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Known for its high intensity and unpredictable action, KING OF THE METRO will see some of Australia’s biggest wrestling names push boundaries and, like last year, could quite possibly take the heat out of the ring and into the night on George St.
The always wild and unhinged 30-person King of the Metro Rumble promises to bring the house down. This year, the chaos begins with The Tuckman entering the ring at number one, a place no one wants to be in.
“Being number one in the PWA Rumble is like trying to get to the footy finals halfway through the season when you are currently at the bottom of the ladder,” says The Tuckman. “It’s possible, but you must be realistic, right? The only problem for everyone else is that I’ve got two hands, a heartbeat, Australia’s mullet and several hundred rowdy PWA fans so you cannot count The Tuckman out.”
While Jack J. Bonza (Jack Bonza PWDU interview up this Monday 23rd) takes the coveted number 30, giving him the prime spot to become the King Of The Metro. Alongside them, a stacked roster of PWA favourites are fired up to be the last wrestler in the ring, including Jessica Troy, Scott Green, Ben Braxton, Will Kiedis, Skater Boi Pidgey, Sam Osborne, and Billy Preston, with even more surprise entrants to be announced.
The night’s highly anticipated card will also see every PWA championship belt on the line. Last year’s King Of The Metro winner and newly crowned PWA Heavyweight Champion Charli Evans is putting her title on the line for the first time against the relentless Kai Drake.
“For ten years, the PWA Heavyweight Championship is the only thing I have desired,” says Kai Drake. “Chevs is the demon who stands in my way. The Dragonheart is coming to burn Chevs Country to the ground and take its gold at the Metro.”
The PWA Tag Team Championship will also be contested in a high-octane showdown, as crowd favourites The Backslide Girlz featuring Shay Kassidy and Everett Connors defend their title against the dynamic Velocities (Paris De Silva and Jude London). The Sniper of the Skies Robbie Eagles will also be defending his Soul Of PWA belt against long-time rival Michael Spencer.
Known for transforming the iconic Metro Theatre into a battleground that feels more like a rock concert than a wrestling show, KING OF THE METRO delivers an atmosphere like no other. The crowd will also be treated to Sydney Bardot performing her new single live and the hypnotic Miss Eli Fury.
The action kicks off at 7:15 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Metro Theatre, 624 George Street, Sydney. Tickets start from $39.70 and are available from Ticketek.
