Aussies Abroad: Kingsley hits the US & Canada, Reed, Hartwell, Fletcher, Zaria and more..

Welcome back to another week’s instalment of Aussies Abroad, where we take a look at the Australian wrestlers making a name for themselves in rings across the world.

Let’s start this week’s coverage off with the latest news from the Aussie powerhouse Bronson Reed, who made an epic return to WWE last month. Unfortunately, things didn’t go too well for the giant this week, when he lost a match with his partner Bron Breakker against Jey Uso and Sami Zayn by disqualification. Things were going well for Reed when Seth Rollins showed up following the altercation last week. Reed was once again going to land one of his signature tsunamis onto the announce desk when CM Punk also joined the commotion and broke things up.

Things also didn’t go too well for fellow Aussie Grayson Waller, with Sheamus absolutely annihilating him in their match last month. Although Waller was able to get some hits in, Sheamus dominated much of the match, and it was eventually a distraction by Austin Theory and a brogue kick that sent Waller down for the three count. A week later, the A-Town Down Under team suffered more at the expense of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bane, with the New Catch Republic team defeating them at WWE Main Event.

Over in NXT, Adelaide star Zaria has been, as expected, intimidating every woman, man and everyone in between in the locker room. Apart from her work with her partner Sol Ruca, Zaria found herself in a matchup with Kelani Jordan in the NXT Women’s North American Title contendership. Fans who have been following her since her days in RCW were expecting the local legend to show off her in-ring strength in this match, which she certainly did. However, some moments of miscommunication between herself and Rucca distracted her for just enough time for Kelani to get the roll-up and three-count pin. With Rucca taking the title opportunity from Zaria once again, will we see the Adelaidian turn full heel?

Aussie favourite Indi Hartwell has also finally made her TNA debut, with recent matches with some of the hottest names on the roster. Earlier in the month, Hartwell teamed up with Raj Singh and The Rascalz team to go head to head with Order 4. Hartwell also was able to pick up a huge win against Tasha Steelz this week at the TNA iMPACT taping event- we can’t wait to see her finally back in action and bringing the Aussie heat across the world.

PWA turned international star Kingsley recently made her US debut against Hyan with Pandemonium Pro Wrestling in Nevada. Kingsley has since also gone head-to-head with Masha Slamovich at Smash Wrestling in Toronto. We can’t wait to see yet another Aussie talent bring their moves to the US and international audiences!

Over in AEW, Kyle Fletcher went head to head with the TNT champion Adam Cole for the belt in a match that ended in another disqualification. The two worked extremely well with each other in-ring, but it was eventually an interruption by Josh Alexander that saw the match come to an end.

Adelaide favourite Matt Hayter has also been making good use of his time in Florida, with a recent match with Makaio Memory Maker, Scott Green and Tuckman at Coastal Championship Wrestling. Another Aussie favourite Lena Kross has also been spending time in America, with recent matches with Focus Pro Wrestling against Kaia McKenna.
