Aussie Promotions Streaming Full Events On YouTube

I am a firm believer that discovery is necessary to fully enjoy professional wrestling, which is why I’m writing this article. Australia is quite a large country, with an abundance of professional wrestling promotions. Naturally, us fans of Australian wrestling are going to stick to our local promotions, but there is so much pro wrestling within this county to discover that you’re doing yourself a disservice by not at least having a quick look at what’s going on outside your neck of the woods. Lucky for you, I’ve put together a handy guide of promotions in Australia that are uploading either full events or full matches from their events onto YouTube for free, which makes discovery easily accessible, as it should be:

ACT

Starting us off is Canberra’s premiere wrestling promotion and PWDU’s 2024 Promotion of the Year, SLAM! Pro Wrestling League. SLAM! runs a pretty consistent schedule, running 1-2 shows each month, with extra exhibition shows at bars and festivals sprinkled in every so often. They upload most of their important events to their YouTube channel, as well as uploading any notable matchups from each event individually. Their upload schedule includes full replays of all their most recent events, on either a few days or a few weeks delay, as well as a host of archival footage from SLAM!‘s history.

TASMANIA

Tasmanian Championship Wrestling is Tasmania’s one and only wrestling promotion, running the standard, one a month, independent schedule. You can find full events on their subscription service, TCW On Demand, for $7.99 a month, although no events from this year are on the service currently, while their YouTube is host to various matchups from their archive. Their most recent uploads include Doomslayer vs. Jaxson Parker from last year’s Empires End and James Sly Silver vs. Elliot Greyson from their most recent event, New Dawn.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Explosive Pro Wrestling, considered the mecca of wrestling in Western Australia, run a monthly schedule, with events being uploaded to their Vimeo-based subscription service, for $9 a month, on a week delay, although you can find their Go Time events, that act as the pre-show to their big events, for free on YouTube, as well as archival footage from EPW‘s past.

Southern Territory Wrestling is newer on the scene in Western Australia, but has slowly been on the rise in recent months, with their recent schedule that’s included 2 events per month and a consistent upload of recent events on their YouTube channel. airing on a month’s delay, indicative of this. Their most recent events can be found on the channel, those being Ambition 3 and In Your Town, as well as their companion Step Up events.

Moving on to South Australia, we start with Riot City Wrestling, known for being instrumental in the creation of current WWE stars Zaria and Rhea Ripley. RCW runs a frequent schedule, holding 1-2 shows per month, with each of them being uploaded for free on YouTube within a week of the event initially being held. Their most recent events include Mean Street Mayhem #59: Smash N Slam, Trial By Stone and their FringeMania events Superclash & Big Top Beatdown.

Wrestle Rampage, South Australia’s other most prominent promotion, provides a slightly edgier product than their contemporaries and run a monthly schedule, although there are sometimes a few months between shows. Each event is streamed live on YouTube, with the replay still available after the fact. The most recent events you can find on the channel are the three shows they’ve held at the Lion Arts Factory.

Adelaide Championship Wrestling has just recently seen a major resurgence in South Australia, with a monthly schedule of 1 or 2 shows per month looking like the norm for the new era of ACW. While their upload schedule is quite spotty (there’s only been one event uploaded in the past 5 months), you will most likely find their upcoming events uploaded for free on YouTube, roughly 3 weeks after they’re held, starting with A New Era.

QUEENSLAND

Impact Pro Wrestling Australia is Queensland’s longest running and most notable promotion, holding events each month at the Dreamworld theme park. The upload schedule on their YouTube channel is a touch unconventional, as they upload the individual matchups from their events separately, as opposed to the full show start to finish, around 2 weeks after each event, with World of Dreams and Ladder Wars being the most recent events to receive this treatment.

Pro Wrestling League, despite its quarterly schedule, is one of Queensland’s top promotions. On their YouTube channel, you will find full events uploaded to the channel for free, about a month after it was initially held, their most recent ones being Purge: Cybernight and the very notable Australian Supershow.

Another one of the pillars of Queensland wrestling, United Pro Wrestling has been around for quite some time. Although their live event schedule has become a touch inconsistent in recent months, you can find a plethora of free, archival matchups on their YouTube channel, as well as two different paid subscription services, one of which gives you unlimited to all current and upcoming events for $9.99 a month, or a “Classics” service, which gives you all of their older events for $14.99 a month, which you can join via the channel’s homepage. The most recent uploads to both the free and paid sides of the channel come from their most recent event in the Sunshine Coast.

Another long-lasting mainstay of the Queensland wrestling scene, Venom Pro Wrestling has been consistently pumping out one event each month, putting their events up for free on YouTube, using the unconventional method of uploading each match separately, about a month after its original date. Ascension 6 and Reshuffling The Deck Twice are their most recent events to go up on the channel.

With a recent uptick in momentum, Wrestling Allegiance Rockhampton brings monthly events to Rockhampton and uploads most of the matchups from their recent events, although the actual schedule of these uploads is a little bit inconsistent. Most recently, Ghost Town has been uploaded onto the channel.

The newest promotion on the scene in Queensland, Atomic Pro Wrestling has been putting out a steady stream of events in Toowoomba every 1-3 months over the last 3 years. On their YouTube, you can find their events uploaded in parts, with each part being its own matchup, with Act II being the most recent event to be fully uploaded, while Retro Rumble is in the process of being put up online.

NEW SOUTH WALES

Pro Wrestling Australia is one of NSW, as well as Australia’s, premiere federations, holding an abundance of monthly events, ranging from 1-3 per month, all across the state. Their YouTube channel also sees a fairly consistent stream of uploads, livestreaming their full events before uploading each matchup as its own separate video, as well as matchups from previous shows. The most recent events to receive this treatment are last year’s Ringmasters, Shoots And Ladders and the recent Chevs v Troy.

Rock ‘N’ Roll Wrestling Australia is one of NSW’s hotter promotions, keeping up the “independent standard” schedule for the last 12 years, with their YouTube channel also keeping up a consistent upload schedule in recent months, uploading R’N’R events such as Rock ‘N’ Rumble & We Built This City on a month delay.

Wrestle Strong Dojo is one of the newer promotions in NSW, having forged their own past for the past 6 years, with a regular event schedule and a rather unique upload schedule, taking their events and splitting them up into “episodes” that get uploaded once a week, with episodes 4, 5 and 6 of their 8th “season” being the newest uploads.

One of the newest promotions in the state, Integrity Sports Entertainment have held only a handful of events so far, which doesn’t leave much room for much of a proper touring schedule, as well as upload schedule on their YouTube channel, although they’ve become pretty consistent in recent months, uploading their To The Moon, Hope & Born For Greatness events on a 1-2 week delay.

Melbourne City Wrestling is one of Victoria’s top promotions, with a bi-monthly touring schedule, bi-monthly in this case being every two months, with their YouTube channel uploading all of their most recent events over the past few weeks, with Endgame, Vendetta and High Stakes being the most recent uploads.

Renegades of Wrestling is one of Victoria’s more prominent promotions, with a standard, monthly schedule and a YouTube channel , where they keep up with RoW‘s schedule pretty well, uploading full events, like recent examples We Are Renegades and Uprising, within a week to a month after the fact.

Mayhem Pro Wrestling has been slowly climbing up the ranks of the Victoria wrestling scene, with its semi-monthly schedule and a YouTube channel that operates on the same schedule, uploading all of Mayhem Pro‘s events around 1-2 months after being held. Their most recent events to be uploaded are their January & April Showcase events, as well as their annual MayhemMania.

Adrenaline Pro Wrestling is more of an underground promotion in Victoria, carving out a loyal fanbase with their monthly touring and YouTube upload schedule, where they put up full events on a month’s delay. The last few events aren’t currently up on the channel, leaving their most recent uploads to be Breakout 52 and Battle To Survive.
