BCW 63 Results – Blood, Guts, Gold & The Great Muta

Battle Championship Wrestling held their 63rd event this past Friday, with fans packing out the Whitehorse Club in Burnwood for what was, by all accounts, an absolute cracker of an event. Those in attendance would bear witness to a hugely personal Last Man Standing match, the arrival of the likes of Baka Gaijin and Aaron Solo, a whole host of championship matchups and, of course, an appearance from Japanese legend Keiji Mutoh, which you can read all about down below:

Last Man Standing Match – Johnathan Preston vs. Sean Preston:

The Preston Kindred imploded at BCW 63, with the final encounter of their deeply personal rivalry being held in a Last Man Standing Match. The ending would see the brothers handcuffed together and struggling to get up off the mat, leaving them both at risk of being counted out. In a match that featured all kinds of violence, wits would end up winning the day, as Sean, still chained to his brother, would roll out of the ring to beat the 10 count, as well as use the handcuffs to keep his brother down, leaving Johnathan to get counted out on his own.

Winner – Sean Preston

Keiji Muto Arrives:

In the aftermath of the Preston Kindred’s implosion, fans would get a quick breather from the action, courtesy of Keiji Muto. Muto officially entered the Battle Kingdom to declare that he was here to scout for the best talent in the country.

BCW Battle Express Championship Match – Levi Nixon (c) vs. Jordie Sparkles:

Up next, the BCW Battle Express Championship was on the line, although champion Levi Nixon seemed more concerned with poking fun at Keiji Muto than he did actually defeating challenger Jordie Sparkles, whose 2-0 win streak in BCW would come to an end at the hands, or better yet, the knee of Nixon, who would “borrow” Keiji Muto’s Shining Wizard to seal the deal. Afterwards, Nixon’s petty jabs would continue, as Nixon would steal Muto’s famous, double horns taunt.

Winner: Levi Nixon

BCW Women’s Championship Match – Frankie B (c) vs. Tarlee:

Tarlee made her return to BCW, taking another stab at the BCW Women’s Championship, which has alluded her for years. Despite her best efforts, Tarlee would come up short against champion Frankie B, who would blatantly cheat to secure the victory, putting her feet up on the ropes whilst pinning Tarlee.

Winner: Frankie B

No Count Outs Match – Gabriel Wolfe vs. Anth Cava:

Wolfe and Cava’s search for a definitive victor once again came up short. Despite count outs not being enforced, as a response to how their previous match had ended, both men found a way to leave this contest without a victor, thanks to each of them getting physical with the referee.

Winner: Draw via Double Disqualification

BJW Tag Team Championship Match – Baka Gaijin (Mad Man Pondo & Dale Patricks) (c) Vs Loose Bastards (Adam Brooks & Krackerjak):

Coming all the way from Japan, Baka Gaijin, consisting of Dale Patricks and Deathmatch legend Mad Man Pondo, were here to defend their BJW Tag Team titles against the reuniting Loose Bastards, the supergroup made up of Adam Brooks and Krackerjak. With Tornado Tag and Hardcore rules favouring all four men, it would end up being Baka Gaijin walking away the victors and still as the BJW Tag Team champions.

Winner: Baka Gaijin

BCW Battle Express Championship Number One Contender’s Scramble Match – This Guy vs. Barry Lucky O’Leary vs. Robbie Thorpe vs. Ryan Rapid vs. Sam Yannis vs. Aaron Solo:

With 10 minutes on the clock, these six competitors went all out in the pursuit of a shot at the BCW Battle Express Championship. Each competitor, especially All Elite Wrestling‘s Aaron Solo, shone in their own ways, but it would be Sam Yannis who walked away as the number one contender, having pinned This Guy in the final few seconds of the matchup. After the match, Levi Nixon would come out to remind his tag partner not to get too excited at the prospect of becoming champion.

Winner: Sam Yannis

BCW Tag Team Championship Match – The Super Grouse Bogans (Cletus & Bush Kelly) (c) vs. The Natural Classics (Tome & Stevie Filip):

Unpredictability would be the theme of this matchup, as The Super Grouse Bogans’ unpredictable nature would leave The Natural Classics in a constant state of confusion, eventually allowing the Bogans to set their opponents up for The Compactor and retain their BCW Tag Team Championships.

Winner: The Super Grouse Bogans

BCW Heavyweight Championship Match – Gore (c) vs. Famous B w/Vixsin:

The main event of the evening would see Gore’s strength put to the test in a numbers game as he would defend the BCW World Heavyweight Championship against Famous B, who had an insurance policy in the form of Vixsin by his side. With the numbers advantage seemingly spelling disaster for Gore throughout the contest, it would end up blowing up in Famous B & Vixsin’s face as, after Famous B clocked Gore with the championship, Vixsin could not keep the referee distracted long enough for B to dispose of the evidence, leading to the ref awarding Gore the victory by disqualification.

Winner: Gore

The Great Muta confronts Levi Nixon:

Just as the event was seemingly coming to a close, Levi Nixon would once again interrupt the proceedings, this time to proclaim that he should’ve been the focus of the show and not Keiji Muto. Unfortunately for him, Nixon’s comments, as well as his previous mocking of the legend, would finally catch up to him, as his tirade was interrupted by the arrival of Keiji Muto’s dark alter ego, The Great Muta. Nixon would make the grave mistake of getting in Muta’s face, leaving him vulnerable to the Green Mist. Muta would walk away as the final image of the event would be a flailing Levi Nixon, blinded by the Green Mist.
