TALKING POINTS

Building the future

  • AEW threw everything at the first 45 minutes of this episode, and they delivered. A combination of established stars and newcomers in the opener was exactly what this show needed, and it gave an opportunity for them all to shine. Ricochet has really stepped into his own as a performer and having him team with The Elite was a great rub for his standings within the company.
  • Knight and Speedball teaming with Kenny and Briscoe as part of the faces of AEW is helping them to establish a new brand and will help secure the future of the company down the line. These two men could easily be involved in championship matches in the near future.

We Hurt People

  • It has been a staple of the programming over the past couple of weeks to see MJF try to weasel his way into becoming a member of the Hurt Syndicate and this week was absolutely no different. Except we finally learnt what it is going to take to impress the Almighty one and that is… hurting people. If MJF wants in, Lashley wants him to hurt people!

Another Timeless performance

  • The timeless one was on a mission this week and across both Dynamite and Collision she would be in action in eliminator matches. After handling her business with Miyu Yamashita, Storm would be confronted by an arrogant Mercedes at the entrance ramp but not to be out done, her opponent at Double or Nothing, Jamie Hayter would send Mone packing and leave Storm all flustered in the ring

Is he ALL IN?

  • Hangman and Fletcher being the main event of this week was absolutely the best choice. Both men delivered a stellar performance that left you wondering truly who was going to go on to face Ospreay at Double or Nothing in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
  • Fletcher in his own right had plenty of claim to be the one to step up and take on his former United Empire running mate again in what surely would have easily been yet another classic in their story.
  • Hangman had other ideas though. He stamped his ticket to DoN but the question that is left now is, does he have what it takes to get to Globe Life Field and the AEW Championship at ALL IN TEXAS?

COLLISION RESULTS

Match #5. Max Caster vs. Daniel Garcia

Match #6. Gates of Agony vs. Ray Jaz and Goldy

TALKING POINTS

A timeless continuation

  • Like I said about Dynamite, Toni Storm continues to show why she has been trusted to be the face of the AEW Women’s division and why she continues to be a star. After the match she would deliver another quip filled promo and run around the arena with a microphone in hand telling the “sloptarts” that she is not hard to find.

Bayne of their existence

  • Megan Bayne is a monster of a woman and continues to show that she is on another level in the Women’s division. Even though she lost to Storm, Bayne has still been made to feel like a presence to not be messed with. Her dominance over the ladies continues to show why TK was right to sign her.

F*** The Rest

  • If you have been living under a rock or haven’t tuned into AEW lately you may not have realized that FTR just don’t give a shit anymore. They are here to f*** things up and are going to do things their way whether anyone likes it or not. The heel turn has been the exact thing that FTR needed to add some spice back into their matches and the addition of Stokley as their mouthpiece and coach has been a blessing.

Gates of Agony taking names

  • GOA have been on the roster for a while now, but their run has not felt like anything fantastic. That was until recently as they have begun to build a feud with former Learning Tree members, Big Bill and The Bad Apple, Bryan Keith. The backstage segment between both teams on this show was a great display of how some things just work.

Casting to a face run?

  • While it may have started out as a joke. Max Caster’s open challenge gimmick is starting to endear itself to the fans in attendance. This week the fans actually managed to get behind his “Let’s go Max, you’re the best wrestler alive” chant. Could this lead to him gaining some momentum and eventually a face turn for the former one half of The Acclaimed?
