“Felt The Bicep Retract Up The Arm” Sledgehammer Provides Injury Update

PWdownunder.com recently caught up with former Impact Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion Sledgehammer on his recovery from a torn bicep last month.

Sledgehammer gave us an insight into how the injury occurred…

“It was just at wrestling training doing lifting sequences with some of the guys and it was a variation of a suplex and, the arm (right side) was basically extended and as I went down to preform the lift it just popped. Felt the bicep retract up the arm.”

Realistically IPW fans won’t be seeing Sledgehammer back in the ring until August..

“I had surgery on it April 1st. As for returning to action realistically not until possibly August at the earliest.”

Sledgehammer on the new IPW Heavyweight Champion Chad Atlas who won the fatal four match to crown a new champion at IPW World Of Dreams on April 26. Atlas won the match against EC Diamond, Skhorn and Ethan Shay.

“Congratulations to our new IPW Heavyweight Champion Chad Atlas. If you’re lucky enough to still be holding this championship by the time I return to in ring competition history will repeat itself when I beat and become a 2x heavyweight champion, keep that belt shining for me!”
