What’s Happened?

  • At Rock N Roll Wrestling’s Get The Tables event on the 26th of April, Hunter PS Hayes & Killa Kye successfully defended the RNR Tag Team Championship against RNR Elite Champion Morgan Rose & The Dogs in a Tables Match.
  • At PWA At Mounties on the 25th of April, Big Fudge remained the holder of the prestigious Mounties Cup, last eliminating Aaron Jake in a 20 Person Battle Royal.
  • At AWE House of Pain on 26th Apr, Albie def. Scott Magnum to win the AWE World Championship.
  • Also, the Greek World Order retained the AWE Tag Team Championship against Adam FACAA & E10.
  • At Wrestling GO Golympic Games 5 (April 26th), Jengis Kong def. Jay Sorbet (c) in a Silver Medal Unification Match, ending the 5 year reign of Sorbet.
  • Also, the team of Billy Preston & Cosmo Cooper (c) def. Skater Boi Pidgey & Danny Scene to retain the Wrestling GO Doubles Medals.

What’s Coming Up?

  • On May 2nd at the Australian Wrestling School, Teddy Reay challenges Bronson King for the Australian Heavyweight Championship.
  • On May 10th at IWA Wrestle Riot, Randal defends the IWA Heavyweight Championship against Ben Braxton
  • Also for that show, Jax Jordan has accepted the open challenge of IWA Trans-Tasman Champion Dan Archer.
  • For a reminder of previously announced upcoming title matches, PWA Champion Charli Evans will defend against Kai Drake at PWA King of the Metro on June 27th.
  • At Rock N Roll Wrestling, a new Heavyweight Champion needs to be crowned. RNR GM Piers Austin announced Lee Morrow vs. Otis in a Tables Match for an upcoming Wollongong event TBA.
  • A new championship accolade has been introduced at Newcastle Pro Wrestling, as on May 3rd, there is set to be a tournament for the Lake Macquarie Creer Cup. The first round matches are Rita Stone vs. Mat Diamond, Will Kiedis vs. Ben Braxton, Leo Tempest vs. Sam Osborne, and Jack Bonza vs. EC Brownie.

Australian Capital Territory

What’s Coming Up?

  • At SLAM Pro Wrestling League on May 31st, it’s No Disqualification as Dan Archer defends the SLAM Heavyweight Championship against Caveman Ugg.
  • Also, Rita Stone defends the SLAM Women’s Championship against Frankie B.

Victoria

What’s Happened?

  • Lots of championship news coming out of PCW’s Royal Rumble event on April 26th. In the titular match, Tommy Hellfire walked away victorious as the new PCW National Champion, outlasting everyone in the Rumble.
  • In a historic moment, Aysha was crowned the first-ever PCW Women’s Champion, beating Tarlee and Charlie Rose in a triple threat match.
  • Marauder retained the PCW Tag Team Championship, defeating Jarvis & Murdoch.
  • And finally, Levi Nixon returned to defeat Liam Elliott and become the new PCW Ignition Champion.
  • At PCW Slam on May 1st, Jackson Atlas successfully defended the Slam Championship against Troy Toa.

What’s Coming Up?

  • MCW’s High Stakes (17th May) card seems to be set, featuring championship matches such as Ricky South (c) vs. Caveman Ugg for the MCW World Heavyweight Championship, Adam Brooks (c) vs. Ryan Rapid for the MCW Intercommonwealth Championship, and for the MCW Women’s Championship, it’s Eugenie (c) vs. Aysha, with Erika Reid as special guest referee.
  • AUS Pro Wrestling plays host to a big title match on May 31st at their Generations event, as new PCW National Champion Tommy Hellfire defends against Owen Steadman.
  • At BCW 63 (23rd May), Gore defends the BCW Heavyweight Championship against Famous B.
  • Also, the Super Grouse Bogans defend the BCW Tag Team Championships against the Natural Classics.
  • Frankie B will defend the BCW Women’s Championship against Tarlee.
  • At Alpha Pro’s Apex event on May 17th, Cousin Ali defends the Alpha Pro Heavyweight Championship against Mike Kaos.
  • Also, Adam Crowe defends the Alpha Openweight Championship against Johnny Della Rocco.
  • Also also, Nate Hunter defends the Pipeworks Market Championship against Josh Redfield.
  • Also also also, the Oner Brothers have issued an Open Challenge for their Alpha Pro Tag Team Championship.
  • At MXW Let ‘Em Cook (May 31st), Terry Shaw defends the MXW Carnage Championship against Zedd Nitrox
  • Also, JXT vs. Ace Shack goes down for the MXW Upload Championship.
  • Mike Kaos defends the MXW Ascend Championship against Max “Bushranger” Kelly.

Queensland

What’s Happened?

  • IPW held their World of Dreams show of the 26th of April, which saw Sledgehammer formally relinquish the IPW Heavyweight Championship due to injury.
  • Chad Atlas became the new IPW Heavyweight Champion by defeating EC Diamond, Skorn and Ethan Shay in a Fatal 4 Way.
  • In the IPW Unified Championship match, CJ defeated The MUTT… albeit via DQ, so MUTT remains the Unified Champion.

What’s Coming Up?

  • On May 10th at QWA Double Tap 2, the QWA Heavyweight Championship is on the line as Dick Riggs (c) faces Bojack and Tim Burr in a triple threat match. The fans choose the stipulation, the choices being- elimination match, submission match, or lumberjack match.
  • At PWL Doomsday on May 17th, PWL Champion Ricky Utomi defends against Mick Moretti.
  • Also, Craven defends the Openweight Championship against Seth Tylors.

South Australia

What’s Coming Up?

  • Riot City Wrestling’s next event, titled Key To The City, takes place on May 31st, centred around a ladder match for a guaranteed title shot in the future.
  • On May 31st, at RCW Key To The City, it’s Downunder vs. Chris Basso for the RCW Grand Championship.
  • Also, RCW Emerald Crown holder Edward Dusk will take on Red Smash.
  • At Wrestle Rampage Mayhem At The Lion Arts Factory on May 24, Havok will defend the Australian National Championship against Edward Dusk in a Dog Collar match.

Western Australia

What’s Happened?

  • Announced this morning at the time of writing (May 2nd), the Australian Women’s Championship has been vacated. Recently active in STW with title holder Layla Divine, the title will now return to the eastern states of Australia. Curiously, announcements by Southern Territory Wrestling and promoter Andrew Carter have not mentioned Divine at all, despite wrestling in a winning effort against Eleaine Hope at Sensational Showdown on April 12th.

  • At STW No Turning Back on May 10th, Rogan Karguis defends the STW Heavyweight Championship against George Milanko.
  • At EPW Gold Rush on May 24th, Marcius Pitt defends the EPW Heavyweight Championship against James Hartness.
  • Also, ATO defends the EPW Tag Team Championship against Davis Storm & Bruno Nitro.
  • NHPW are promoting their Represent event for May 24, advertising appearances by the Art of Fighting Champion Korvus, and the Hybrid Champion Axxton.

Tasmania

What’s Coming Up?

  • Tasmanian Championship Wrestling have announced a Title Celebration for their new TCW Heavyweight Champion, Aaron Lynch, for their next event, New Dawn, on May 3rd.
  • Additionally, the North Esk Championship will be on the line as Elliott Greyson defends against James Sly Silver.
