AEW came to fight this week. Delivering one of the best TV matches of 2025 as well as continuing to develop further stories across the show.
Best TV match of 2025 –
It might only be the fourth month of the year, but Konosuke Takeshita and Will Ospreay delivered what I consider to be one of the absolute best televised matches of 2025. Both men are out in that ring putting amazing showcases of their talents each and every time they step out there.
New Trios Champions –
In what was probably the most intelligent move of the Death Riders story, they finally moved the Trios Championship off of them and put them on The Opps. The Opps making a major move here is in the best interest of this story and also sets us up for Samoa Joe vs Moxley for the AEW World Championship.
Josh Alexander is All Elite –
After finishing his time with TNA and the online wrestling community wondering where he would land, Josh has finally made his AEW debut and at the end of his match he sided with fellow Canadian, Don Callis.
COLLISION RESULTS / TALKING POINTS
Kevin Knight vs Lance Archer
Winner – Kevin Knight
The Conglomeration vs The Don Callis Family
Winners – The Don Callis Family
Megan Bayne vs Rebecca Scott / Ashley Vox
Winner – Megan Bayne
AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Adam Cole (c) vs Claudio Castagnoli
Winner and still AEW TNT Champion – Adam Cole
LFI vs KM / Rosario Grillo / LSG
Winners – LFI
ROH TV Championship: Komander (c) vs Nick Wayne
Winner and new ROH TV Champion – Nick Wayne
Kris Statlander / Julia Hart vs Mercedes Mone / Harley Cameron
Winners – Kris Statlander / Julia Hart
Collision was not as strong as Dynamite this week, but it still brought the goods and delivered a new development in the character of Nick Wayne as well as continuing to showcase the women in the main event.
Harley Cameron is still a treasure –
Cameron may have slipped back down the card a bit, but she still proves that she is loved and still a treasure to the crowd. The use of the puppet has helped her deliver some of the best interviews in her short career.
Nick Wayne wins ROH Gold –
After being gifted the opportunity by his father, Christian Cage. Wayne walked out to the match alone and walked out with his first ever singles championship in the AEW/ROH brand.
Death Riders get intense –
We finally got to see some intensity coming out of the Death Riders and it was great to see. Opening off the show with the Death Riders being annoyed at their loss on Dynamite was something that needed to happen.
